"Entre Lobos"

On Thursday 8th February the students of 3ºC ESO (my group) watched the movie “Among Wolves” as part of the activities of the Comenius Project. The movie is set in the Sierra of Córdoba. It shows how people lived in the country in the past.
The story is about the life of a child that had to leave his family because they were very poor. The child went to work for an old farmer. The man taught him a lot of things. Later the man died and the child had to live by himself.
One day some men came to bring food to the farmer and they tried to take the child with them but he escaped from them because the wolves helped him. He lived surrounded by the wolves and without contact with other humans for some years. However the men found the child some years later and took him back to civilization.

This movie shows very beautiful natural areas of our province and we can watch a human living by himself in nature. The story is based on real facts.
By paying some money to watch the film we raised a small sum that we gave to a charity.

Sustainable Development Lecture

On Tuesday 15th February we had a lecture about the environment and sustainable development by José Larios Marton, a well-known local expert in environmental problems. The lecture was attended by the third year students and a group of  second year students.

Jose Larios used a very interesting presentation to try and raise the awareness of our students about our serious environmental problems, the high level of pollution, excessive waste and in general the consequences of  a lifestyle in the developed countries that our planet cannot sustain in the long term.
